When it became no longer possible to care for my husband by myself at home, Addington Place was the answer to my prayers.  In addition to his memory loss, he had challenging physical conditions that required frequent care.  His nurses and caregivers were so attentive, knowledgeable, and kind….I never had to worry about his comfort or dignity.
My husband participated in activities and outings; we were able to enjoy many of these together.  We called them our “dates”.  He looked forward to mealtimes, and always told his visitors how great the food was.
From the first intake meeting, Addington Place made his adjustment a smooth, pleasant experience.  And at the end of his life, they assisted with loving hospice care---and they offered me every accommodation and support I needed.  I will be forever grateful to the amazing staff at Addington Place.  In fact, I still visit--- because it is a place full of love and wonderful people!

"Upon moving my wife from another facility to Addington Place, I was assured our past concerns and requests would be addressed, (weight control, grooming, activity involvement).  From day 1, I have found the staff not only very friendly but truly caring of their residents.  I like my wife in such a homey atmosphere where caregivers seem to go the extra mile.  In the past 5 years there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I haven’t thought it was one of the best decisions my family and I have ever made."

"We could not ask for more thoughtfulness, attentiveness, concern and compassion than was shown to my sister, during the years she was at Addington Place.  It was indeed comforting to know she was getting the best possible care and personal involvement from everyone.  The staff is all wonderful!"

"The most grueling time we faced as a family was how to care for mom virtually around the clock.  When we realized we could no longer attend to all her needs at home, it was a difficult decision to have her live apart from her family, in an assisted living facility.  We want you to know that we never regretted our decision of placing her in your care.  All of you became her second family and most importantly, you allowed us to make Addington place her new home."

"Thank you so much for your dedication and care over the years. You are kind, committed people whose guidance greatly helped both my grandma and grandpa.  When my grandpa was still well enough to to live with our family, he used to tell us stories about his day there, and how he loved spending time with my grandma and enjoyed the visiting musicians."
